1991 Shiseido Hanatsubaki Club “Le Théâtre des Fleurs” Decorative Plate, Illustrated by Hélène Tran
THB 260
A Japanese Shiseido Hanatsubaki Club commemorative decorative plate, explicitly dated 1991 on its underside mark. Titled Le Théâtre des Fleurs (“The Theatre of Flowers”), it carries an illustration credited on the plate to Hélène Tran. The glossy white plate has a broad, softly scalloped rim with seafoam-green panels, cursive French text, and red/gold-tone borders. Its central theatrical composition combines a vivid pink rose figure, cherubic musicians, instruments, music, and ornate floral scrollwork. The visible mark supports attribution to Shiseido Japan and the 1991 Hanatsubaki Club issue, but does not identify the porcelain factory. No dimensions are stated here because none were measured in the supplied photographs.
