Probable Hagi-Style Cream Crackle-Glazed Tea Bowl, Marked

A compact Japanese-style tea bowl with a softly rounded profile and low ring foot. The pale ivory glaze carries a fine, even network of crazing, while the exposed foot shows a warm buff body and orange-brown firing color. A dark vertical base mark is present but cannot be read securely from the photograph. The visual combination is consistent with later Hagi-type white-glazed tea ware, although neither Hagi origin, workshop, maker, nor date is proven. A plain wooden storage box is shown, but its original association with the bowl cannot be confirmed from the images because no inscription is visible.

No rim chips, foot chips, restoration, or structural cracks are visible in the supplied views. Fine, even crazing covers the glaze and appears inherent to manufacture. The interior has minor kiln/glaze irregularity and light surface variation. Condition remains photograph-based; close examination under strong light is required to exclude hairlines, staining within the crazing, or rim nicks. - Origin
- Probably Japan, possibly Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, based on the warm pale body, white/cream crackled glaze, and foot treatment. This is a stylistic attribution only.
