Noritake M-in-Wreath Hand-Painted Turquoise and Pastel Scalloped Dinner Plate, Japan, c. 1921–1941
THB 800
A Japanese export porcelain plate attributed to Noritake from its printed M-in-wreath backstamp. The plate has a softly scalloped rim, a white center, and a refined turquoise-blue border framed by gray latticework and white enamel dots. Pastel looping vines and small colored dots animate the outer rim, which is finished with a narrow gold line. The underside is marked “Noritake,” an M within a wreath, “Hand Painted,” and “Made in Japan.” This mark configuration supports a pre-war date range of approximately 1921–1941, but neither the exact pattern name nor a precise year is legible or proven from the photographs. No dimensions have been supplied.
