Okura Art China “Small Flowers” Gilt-Rim Shallow Soup Plate, Japan

THB 412.5

A white porcelain shallow soup plate attributed to Okura Art China (Ōkura Tōen), Japan, from its red OAC OKURA JAPAN backstamp. The broad rim is decorated with five delicately colored small floral sprigs and finished with a fine gilt line. It has a recessed well and low ring foot suited to soup, pasta, curry, or similarly sauced courses. No measurements are stated because none were supplied. The red stamp and absence of a visible date code do not securely date the plate; catalogued as post-1934 and probably mid- to late 20th century, with low dating confidence.
